AECOM is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to support the Renewables & Transmission & Distribution teams across the UK. The role is hybrid with offices in Edinburgh and other UK sites, focusing on delivering onshore wind, hydro, grid infrastructure and BESS projects.

You will lead feasibility through detailed design, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, liaise with clients, and supervise site works while mentoring junior staff.

Formación

• BEng (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering required or equivalent.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership with ICE or equivalent.
• Experience delivering complex multi-disciplinary energy transition projects is highly desirable.
• Experience on UK Transmission & Distribution projects (11kV-400kV) is desirable.
• Role requires strong technical competence in civil/structural design and clear reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Act as lead verifier on technical feasibility studies and design reports.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and manage client communications.
• Lead the design of civil infrastructure including roads, drainage and external works.
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings and specifications in line with UK standards.
• Conduct site inspections and respond to technical queries from stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality feasibility, inspection and design reports.
• Mentor junior staff and support project delivery and timelines.
