Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to support our Renewables & Transmission & Distribution energy teams across the UK. You will help shape sustainable infrastructure, lead civil design for onshore wind, hydro, grid infrastructure, and BESS projects, and work within a flexible hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex multi-disciplinary energy projects.
• Strong communication and client liaison skills.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage designs to tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead verifier on reports and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate design teams and manage project work day-to-day.
• Oversee civil infrastructure design including roads, drainage, and external works.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications compliant with UK standards.
• Conduct site inspections and respond to technical queries.
• Mentor junior staff and support career development.
