Job summary

Academics are recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Chepstow area. You will support pupils academically and pastorally, working closely with the class teacher to help children feel confident and ready to learn within a friendly, supportive team.

The role offers a long-term placement with flexible working where possible, and a consultant from Academics will support you throughout your placement.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS Update Service or willingness to apply
• Registered with Education Workforce Council or willing to register
• Two professional references relating to working with children
• A genuine passion for supporting children and their learning

Responsibilities

• Support pupils academically and pastorally to help them feel confident and ready to learn
• Collaborate with the class teacher and wider school team
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for every pupil
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff to support engagement
