Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join multiple primary schools in the BB8 area from September. You will support pupils' learning, assist with classroom activities, and help create an inclusive, safe environment that encourages confidence and curiosity. We welcome applicants with prior experience in schools or childcare.

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across the BB8 area, all seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September. These schools are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning and development, helping to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.

• Support teachers in delivering creative and engaging lessons
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to boost learning and confidence
• Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or EAL is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, flexible, and positive attitude
• Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
