Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for the BD23 area from September. You will support pupils' learning, assist teachers with engaging activities, and help create an inclusive, caring classroom environment.

Ideal candidates have prior school-based experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude toward safeguarding and welfare. This temporary role offers flexible hours and ongoing CPD opportunities through Teaching Personnel.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting.
• Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about education.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience supporting children with SEND or EAL is desirable but not essential.
• Proactive and willing to get involved in all aspects of school life.

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across the BD23 area, who are seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development by:

• Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities
• Supporting individuals and small groups to achieve their learning goals
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Encouraging confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
• Supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
• Assisting with classroom preparation and day-to-day school activities
