Job summary

REED Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Andover, Hampshire, for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND. This temporary role is to cover sickness and is initially for approximately two months.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, support targets, collaborate with the SEND team, and help create an inclusive learning environment. Starts from 5 October 2026 (TBC) with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.
• Strong SEND experience and ability to support pupils with behavioural needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Help pupils access learning and achieve their individual targets.
