Job summary

REED Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Andover, Hampshire, seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. The role is to cover for a staff member away for surgery for approx two months, with a possibility of extension; you will work 1:1 and in small groups with SEND pupils, in a warm, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.
• Strong SEND experience and ability to support pupils with additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service desirable.

The Role

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant
• Strong SEND experience
• Confidence supporting children with behavioural needs
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable
