Job summary

REED Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Andover, Hampshire, seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. The role is to cover for a staff member away for surgery for approx two months, with a possibility of extension; you will work 1:1 and in small groups with SEND pupils, in a warm, inclusive environment.

You will collaborate with the class teacher and SEND team to support learning, behaviour, and emotional well-being,

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.
• Strong SEND experience and ability to support pupils with additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support SEND pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Assist pupils to access learning and meet targets.
• Collaborate with class teacher and SEND team.
• Provide behavioural and emotional support as needed.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
