Job summary

Smile Education Recruitment is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary Resource Base in Birmingham (B8). The role runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm, £95–£115 per day, with September 2026 start.

You will support pupils with additional needs, including ASC and communication needs, delivering targeted interventions. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to tailor support, foster confidence and promote engagement, with term-time hours and opportunities for permanent

Qualifications

• Patience and resilience in supporting children with diverse needs.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN, especially Autism, is advantageous.
• Caring, patient approach to personalized learning.
• Genuine passion for helping children succeed in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs.
• Support children with Autism in a specialised Resource Base.
• Deliver interventions and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
