  • Job Title: Primary Teacher

  • Start Date: September 2025 (Immediate interviews)
  • Contract: Long term, temporary to permanent
  • Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday
  • Pay: According to teaching scale
About the School

This Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) provides education for students aged 5 to 16 who are unable to attend mainstream school. The centre supports a small cohort of approximately 35 to 36 pupils. Rated Good in all areas by Ofsted, the school offers a tailored, nurturing environment to meet the diverse needs of its learners.

What We Are Looking For
  • A qualified Primary Teacher with experience working in SEN or SEMH settings
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Confidence in planning and delivering differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
  • A creative, hands-on approach to engaging and inspiring learners
  • An understanding of trauma-informed practice and supporting disengaged students
Essential Requirements
  • QTS or QTLS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
  • At least 1 year of experience teaching students with SEN or SEMH
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Workforce valid on the Update Service
  • Two recent professional references ideally from an education setting
