Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join a primary school in Solihull on a full-time basis. The role involves leading a small class of pupils with ASD, complex needs and SEBD, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS with SEND experience, be committed to inclusive education, and ready to start ASAP. This temporary post offers potential for a permanent role and term-time hours from 08:15 to 16:00.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – SEND experience essential.
• Strong knowledge of the UK SEND and Alternative Provision curriculum.
• Experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs, and challenging behaviour.
• Minimum 12 months' experience in Special Educational Needs.
• Safeguarding Level 1 training.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
• A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
• A strong commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small primary class of pupils with ASD and complex needs.
• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Provide a structured, nurturing environment for pupils.
• Collaborate with school team to support pupils with diverse needs.
