Job summary

Exceed Academies Trust in Bradford is seeking a strategic leader to provide SEND and inclusive-practice direction across the primary phase. The post focuses on empowering learners with SEND, collaborating with staff, families and external agencies to secure high-quality provision and strong outcomes.

The role involves leading and developing support staff, monitoring progress, and upholding safeguarding and child-protection responsibilities within the school, in partnership with SLT and SEN

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead SEND across a primary phase.
• Experience in developing inclusive teaching and learning practices.
• Ability to work with families and external agencies to secure outcomes.
• Experience in managing and developing support staff.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development of SEND and inclusive practice across the primary phase.
• Champion high-quality provision, intervention and support for learners with additional needs.
• Work with staff, families and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for all learners.
• Lead and develop support staff while contributing to a cohesive whole-school approach to inclusion and intervention.
• Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and child protection.
