Job summary

Appleton Academy in Bradford seeks a strategic SEND and inclusion lead for the primary phase. You will steer provision, interventions and outcomes for learners with additional needs, collaborating with staff, families and external agencies to secure high-quality provision and progress.

You will work closely with senior leaders to ensure safeguarding and child protection are embedded across the academy while supporting staff to meet SEND needs and develop inclusive teaching and learning

Qualifications

• The candidate will lead SEND and inclusive practice across the primary phase.
• Experience in safeguarding and child protection governance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development of SEND and inclusive practice across the primary phase.
• Champion high-quality provision, intervention and support for learners with additional needs.
• Work with families and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for all learners.
• Lead and develop support staff while contributing to a cohesive whole-school approach to inclusion and intervention.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and child protection to best standards.
