Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Learning Mentor to support pupils with a range of SEND in a specialist primary provision in the Trafford area. This full-time role is available immediately and offers the chance to help children access learning and develop social skills.

You will work inside and outside the classroom to implement individual targets, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers, therapists and parents.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, patient, resilient and adaptable in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families.
• Adapt learning activities to individual needs and styles.
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Implement EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and parents to monitor progress.
