Aspire People are seeking an experienced School Caretaker to support a primary school in Manchester. This opportunity is for someone who already understands the day-to-day responsibilities of maintaining a safe, secure and well-presented school site.

Availability and working hours will depend on the school vacancy. Prior UK school caretaker experience is essential for consideration, with a commitment to safeguarding and site security.

Qualifications

• Must have worked as a caretaker in a UK school for more than six months within the last year.
• Must be able to demonstrate recent, relevant school caretaker experience.
• Practical experience with site maintenance, security and general upkeep.
• Understanding of school health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• A commitment to safeguarding and site security.

Responsabilités

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs within competence.
• Opening and securing the school site as required.
• Checking that school premises are safe and presentable.
• Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety concerns.
• Supporting deliveries, room setups and site-related tasks.
• Following school procedures for security and access.
