Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting for a Site Manager/School Caretaker at a primary school in Oldham. The role focuses on keeping the building and grounds clean, safe and well-maintained, with hands-on maintenance and security duties.

Working hours are 7am-3pm, negotiable, on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will manage basic repairs, waste disposal and reporting of hazards, with enhanced DBS and Education Workforce Council checks supported by Aspire People.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caretaker or maintenance role is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our premises. This is a hands‑on role that requires attention to detail and a commitment to providing a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Working hours 7am-3pm but negotiable.
