TeacherActive is recruiting a Primary School Cover Teacher for flexible day-to-day supply work in Wakefield. You will step into different classrooms, deliver planned lessons, and maintain pupil engagement across the school day.

Job Title: Primary School Cover Teacher
Location: Wakefield
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £140 - £170 per day

Are you a Primary School Teacher looking for flexible work across Wakefield?

Are you comfortable stepping into different classrooms and quickly building positive relationships with pupils?

Do you have experience teaching children across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2?

TeacherActive is working closely with mainstream primary schools throughout Wakefield that require qualified Primary School Cover Teachers for day-to-day and short-term absences.

The role is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want greater flexibility over when and where they work. As a Primary School Cover Teacher, you will deliver planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.

The successful Primary School Cover Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Previous experience within UK primary schools
• Experience teaching KS1 and/or KS2
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• A clear understanding of safeguarding procedures
• The ability to quickly adapt to different schools, year groups and routines
