Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Primary School Teaching Assistant for Wakefield and surrounding areas. Immediate start available for flexible day-to-day and short-term cover across KS1 and KS2.

You will support pupils, assist the class teacher with activities, and provide interventions and one-to-one support while helping maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a UK primary school.
• Experience supporting children across KS1 and KS2.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs.
• A good understanding of safeguarding.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS1/KS2 with learning activities.
• Assist the class teacher with day-to-day tasks.

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

Are you an experienced Primary School Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across Wakefield?

Do you enjoy supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2?

Are you confident providing classroom, small-group and one-to-one support?

TeacherActive is working with a number of mainstream primary schools across Wakefield that are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day and short-term cover.

As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2, assisting the class teacher with learning activities, providing interventions and working one-to-one with pupils who require additional support. You will play an important role in maintaining a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.

The successful Primary School Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working within a UK primary school




• Experience supporting children across KS1 and/or KS2




• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs




• A good understanding of safeguarding




• Strong communication and teamwork skills




• A positive, patient and adaptable approach
