Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Primary KS2 Teacher to join a Salford school on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis, delivering engaging lessons and promoting high standards.

You will join a caring, aspirational school focused on inspiring resilient learners and strong pupil progress, with safeguarding and collaboration at its core.

QTS or equivalent, KS2 experience, and strong classroom management are essential; flexible days and fast-track compliance are offered.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Recent experience teaching KS2 in primary school.
  • Strong knowledge of KS2 curriculum and classroom practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing of children.
  • Collaborative and supportive team player.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive KS2 lessons.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that motivates learners.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet diverse needs including SEND.
  • Support pupil progress in reading, writing, maths and wider curriculum.
  • Assess progress and adapt teaching to address gaps.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support school aims and values.
  • Promote positive behaviour and high expectations throughout the day.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative and inclusive lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
  • Creating a positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident, valued and motivated to learn.
  • Differentiating lessons and resources to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND.
  • Supporting pupils to develop strong skills in reading, writing, mathematics and the wider curriculum.
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to address learning gaps.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider aims and values of the school.

Requirements or Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Recent experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally within KS2.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.
