Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Primary KS1 Teacher in Bolton for day-to-day, short-term or long-term placements. You will join a vibrant and nurturing school with a focus on positive learning experiences, creating confidence and curiosity in pupils.

Applicants can be newly qualified or experienced teachers with a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice. Milk Education offers flexible hours, CPD, and support throughout your placement.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Recent experience teaching KS1.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative and inclusive lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
  • Creating a positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident, valued and motivated to learn.
  • Differentiating lessons and resources to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND.
  • Supporting pupils to develop strong foundations in reading, writing, mathematics and the wider curriculum.
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to address learning gaps.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider aims and values of the school.
  • Promoting positive behaviour, independence and high expectations throughout the school day.

Requirements or Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.
