We're currently recruiting for a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher to join a Primary School in Oldham on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis Starting in September. This role is temporary.
You'll be joining a Positive and Aspirational Primary School, where high expectations are balanced with a warm and supportive approach. This is a great opportunity for a Newly Qualified or Experienced Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated staff team and play a key role in helping pupils succeed. You'll work closely with teachers and colleagues to create engaging learning experiences and provide the encouragement children need to thrive.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Deliver engaging KS2 lessons - Teach planned lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, adapting activities and resources to meet the needs and abilities of pupils.
- Establish positive classroom management - Set clear expectations, manage behaviour effectively, and create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support learning and development - Develop pupils' core KS2 skills in reading, writing, mathematics and communication while encouraging independence, confidence, critical thinking, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- Monitor and support pupil progress - Assess pupils' understanding during lessons, provide appropriate support or challenge, and record relevant feedback for the class teacher.
- Work collaboratively with the school- Communicate effectively with teachers and support staff, follow school policies, and contribute positively to the wider school community.
Requirements or Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Recent experience working in a school or education setting - preferably in KS2
- Strong understanding of the KS2 national curriculum
- Excellent communication, classroom management & behaviour management skills
- Strong competency in adapting teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of the supportive school team
