Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher for a Primary School in Oldham. The role is available on day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis starting in September and is temporary.

You will join a positive, aspirational school focused on resilience, ambition and belonging, delivering engaging KS2 lessons and supporting pupil progress with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting - preferably KS2.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging KS2 lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Establish positive classroom management and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils' reading, writing, mathematics and communication skills.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff and follow school policies.

We're currently recruiting for a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher to join a Primary School in Oldham on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis Starting in September. This role is temporary.

This is a great opportunity for a Newly Qualified or Experienced Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated staff team and play a key role in helping pupils succeed. You'll work closely with teachers and colleagues to create engaging learning experiences and provide the encouragement children need to thrive.

The school places a strong emphasis on Resilience, Ambition and Belonging, making it an ideal setting for a Key Stage 2 teacher who enjoys building relationships and helping children reach their potential.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Deliver engaging KS2 lessons - Teach planned lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, adapting activities and resources to meet the needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Establish positive classroom management - Set clear expectations, manage behaviour effectively, and create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support learning and development - Develop pupils' core KS2 skills in reading, writing, mathematics and communication while encouraging independence, confidence, critical thinking, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Monitor and support pupil progress - Assess pupils' understanding during lessons, provide appropriate support or challenge, and record relevant feedback for the class teacher.
  • Work collaboratively with the school- Communicate effectively with teachers and support staff, follow school policies, and contribute positively to the wider school community.
Requirements or Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting - preferably in KS2
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 national curriculum
  • Excellent communication, classroom management & behaviour management skills
  • Strong competency in adapting teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of the supportive school team
