Primary KS2 Teaching Assistant

We're currently recruiting for a Primary KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Oldham on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis Starting in September. This role is temporary.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Support pupils with learning - Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning, explain activities, and provide additional support where needed.
- Assist the class teacher - Help with classroom activities, preparation of resources, displays, and general day-to-day classroom organisation.
- Support positive behaviour - Encourage good behaviour, follow the school's behaviour policies, and help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote pupil wellbeing and safeguarding - Support pupils' emotional and physical wellbeing, remain alert to safeguarding concerns, and follow school procedures appropriately.
- Work flexibly as part of the school team - Adapt quickly to different classrooms, year groups, routines, and teaching styles while communicating effectively with teachers and other staff.
Requirements or Skills:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Recent experience working in a school or education setting
- Experience supporting children with a range of abilities and needs (including SEND is desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting learning
- A genuine passion for working with children and desire to see them succeed.
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of the supportive school team
