Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support primary schools across the Manchester area. You will help delivering interventions, support teachers, and contribute to the running of the classroom day-to-day.

The ideal candidate holds an HLTA qualification or equivalent, has strong classroom management and communication skills, and is confident leading groups independently. This is a long-term, permanent opportunity with competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong previous experience within a primary school.
• Confident leading groups of pupils independently.
• Excellent communication and organisation.
• Reliable, proactive and professional.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Lead small-group learning and intervention sessions.
• Cover classes when required and support teacher absence.
• Support phonics, literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Help manage positive behaviour and classroom routines.
