Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support primary schools in Manchester. This is a long-term, permanent opportunity with competitive daily rates and dedicated consultant support.

The HLTA will support learning across EYFS to KS2, lead small-group interventions, cover classes when required, and work with teachers to adapt lessons while maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as an HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Confident leading groups and supporting whole-class learning.
• Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
• Able to work independently and use initiative.
• Reliable, adaptable and professional.

Responsibilities
