Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in North Manchester, supporting pupils within a specialist Inclusion Base.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is confident taking responsibility for a provision and working closely with a lead teacher to create engaging learning opportunities for pupils with additional needs.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent higher-level education required.
• Experience in a primary school setting is essential.
• Experience with SEND is highly desirable.
• Calm, nurturing and consistent approach with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day responsibility for the Inclusion Base.
• Lead and support the provision team.
• Plan and deliver engaging sessions for small groups.
• Support pupils with SEND and communication needs.
• Help pupils develop confidence, engagement and independence.
• Support phonics, reading and wider curriculum activities.
• Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs.
• Monitor and celebrate pupil progress.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Work with the lead teacher, SENCO and school team.
• Develop the learning environment and resources.
