Job summary

Trust Education is recruiting on behalf of a primary school in the S63 area for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The role is full-time and temporary, based in Barnsley.

You will support teaching and learning across primary, deliver targeted intervention sessions, and provide occasional class cover while working closely with staff, pupils and parents to promote positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will have HLTA status or relevant experience, with excellent classroom

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum HLTA status or have relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience working within primary education.
• Able to deliver intervention programmes and small group support.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across primary.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver targeted intervention work to support pupil progress.
• Provide occasional class cover where required.
• Work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and effective support sessions.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils of all abilities to achieve their potential.
• Collaborate with staff, pupils, and parents to support positive outcomes.
