Job summary

Master Class Education is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupils across local schools in South/West Yorkshire. You will step in for class teachers, lead lessons and run intervention sessions with a flexible, long-term and permanent range.

Qualifications

• Experience in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher.
• Lead whole-class, small-group and intervention sessions.
• Support teachers with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide targeted support to pupils, including those with SEND.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
• Support the wider school community, including trips and extracurricular activities.
• Work flexibly across different schools and year groups.
