Job summary

Trust Education Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in the S63 area, Barnsley. The role involves supporting teaching and learning across primary, planning and delivering targeted interventions, and occasional class cover.

The ideal candidate will hold HLTA status or have relevant experience, with strong classroom management and a proactive, collaborative approach. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience delivering targeted intervention programmes and small group support.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across primary.
• Plan, prepare and deliver targeted intervention work to support pupil progress.
• Provide occasional class cover when required.
• Work with staff to deliver engaging and effective support sessions.
• Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils of all abilities to reach their potential.
• Collaborate with staff, pupils and parents to support positive outcomes.
