Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting Primary Cover Supervisors for Solihull and surrounding areas. Roles include daily, short-term, and long-term bookings with a start ASAP. Hours are 8:30am–4:00pm, term-time only. Pay ranges from £95 to £135 per day.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour, and support pupils across EYFS to KS2, with feedback to staff and a focus on engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Primary School setting is desirable.
• Safeguarding training within the last 12 months is preferred; Prospero Teaching can provide this free of charge.
• Strong classroom management skills are essential.
• A passion for supporting young learners and helping them achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Ensure pupils remain engaged, motivated, and on task throughout lessons.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil progress, engagement, and behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Support the wider school community when required.

Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP95-GBP135
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a Primary School setting is desirable
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Learning Mentor, Sports Coach, or Youth Worker is highly desirable
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential
• A passion for supporting young learners and helping them achieve their potential
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training is required. If you have not completed Safeguarding training within the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide this free of charge
