Job summary

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum HCA to work for a GP practice in Canterbury. This role suits a proactive HCA able to support the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and daily treatment room activity.

You will join an organised primary care environment, help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties including observations, phlebotomy (where trained) and ECGs, and contribute to high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
