Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Health Care Assistant to support a GP practice in Gainsborough. You will work as part of a proactive clinical team, assisting with routine procedures, patient assessments and daily treatment room activity to help deliver high‑quality care.

The role involves managing patient flow, assisting with core clinical duties and contributing to smooth session delivery within an organised primary care environment.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation; Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
