Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Northwich. The candidate will assist with routine clinical duties, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity within a proactive primary care team.

Responsibilities include performing vital signs, assisting with ECGs, phlebotomy where trained, updating electronic records and providing patient lifestyle advice to promote health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy training desirable.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
