Locum Ready is looking for a proactive Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Hoddesdon. This locum role will help manage patient flow, assist with routine clinical duties and maintain the treatment room to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will contribute to high-quality care delivery, working within an organised primary care environment with clear guidance and strong support from the team. The position offers flexible sessions to suit availability and longer block bookings.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy is desirable.
• Ability to perform clinical observations and monitor patient status.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical documentation.

Responsabilités

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
