Job summary

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum HCA to work for a GP practice in Warrington. You will be part of an organised primary care environment with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity.

Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions are available, with morning and afternoon slots to suit long-term block bookings. This role supports high-quality care delivery within a supportive practice setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in a primary care setting or NHS environment.
• Phlebotomy experience is desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
