This is a great job for someone who...
Loves turning data into decisions that drive customer and commercial value. You might already be an experienced pricing professional, or someone with strong modelling and analytics expertise looking to take on broader ownership. If you're curious, commercially minded, and enjoy seeing your ideas move from concept to delivery at pace through a fast, flexible and custom-built rating engine, this could be the role for you.
A bit about the job:
You'll join the Darwin team, a tech-led motor insurance business built by a small, entrepreneurial team with big ambitions. As part of Aviva, Darwin combines the agility and innovation of a startup with the scale, support and stability of a major insurer.
Working at the heart of Darwin's Pricing & Underwriting team, you'll help shape the future of insurance pricing through the use of data, insight and innovative approaches. You'll identify opportunities, develop pricing solutions and drive pricing innovation, taking end-to-end ownership of customer pricing across both risk and margin. The role is accountable for supporting profitable business growth while ensuring excellent outcomes for customers in a dynamic and competitive market.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong insurance industry knowledge, with a solid understanding of general insurance pricing and ideally experience within motor insurance.
A commercially driven mindset, motivated by delivering tangible business value through smart, data-led decision making.
Advanced statistical modelling, machine learning and quantitative analytical skills, with the ability to automate insight generation, enhance risk segmentation and translate findings into pricing actions.
Strong technical capability in tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar, with experience extracting insights from complex datasets.
A strong understanding of, or desire to develop expertise in, end-to-end insurance pricing from data through to deployment.
What you’ll get for this role:
