The position offers hybrid working, with opportunities to influence performance and transform pricing through data science techniques. A STEM degree and programming experience are highly valued for success.

This is a great job for someone who is highly numerate, naturally curious and looking to build on their experience in a commercial environment. You'll enjoy combining analytical thinking with business decision-making and will be keen to develop your expertise in insurance pricing while supporting Aviva Health's transformation towards data science pricing techniques

A bit about the job:

The UK private health insurance market has never been more exciting or full of opportunity. This newly created role sits within a high-performing Pricing team, supporting the street and market pricing of Aviva's Small Group health insurance products across both direct and intermediated channels. Aviva Health has ambitious growth plans over the next three years, with the Small Group market expected to play a significant role in achieving those goals.

You'll have the opportunity to directly influence business performance, work closely with senior stakeholders and collaborate across a range of business areas. The role offers a blend of home and office-based working in line with the team's current working arrangements.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Highly numerate, with a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in a STEM subject
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop solutions to complex problems
• Experience using at least one programming language such as SQL, Python or R
• Understanding of insurance pricing and distribution, with the ability to balance trading and profitability outcomes; familiarity with the private health insurance market
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical analysis to non-technical audiences
