Job summary

Hawk Hiring advertises a Service Advisor position at a well‑established independent garage in East Peckham. The role focuses on delivering a high-quality customer experience at reception, scheduling workshops, and handling service administration, with a strong emphasis on clear communication and IT literacy.

You will manage front‑of‑house interactions, coordinate MOTs and servicing, prepare estimates and invoices, and keep customers updated on repair progress in coordination with technicians.

Qualifications

• Prior background as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, or Automotive Receptionist is highly desirable.
• Outstanding communication skills, a professional phone manner, and strong IT literacy are essential.
• Motor trade experience is ideal, but applicants with transferable high-level customer service skills are welcome!

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients at reception, managing incoming phone and email inquiries, and delivering a personal, high-quality customer experience.
• Booking vehicles in for MOTs, routine servicing, diagnostic checks, and mechanical repairs.
• Generating accurate job cards, preparing job estimates, processing final invoices, and taking payments.
• Maintaining regular contact with vehicle owners to keep them informed on repair progress in coordination with the technician team.
