Job summary

Soho House in the United Kingdom is seeking a Waiter to deliver refined, attentive service to our members and guests, working closely with the floor and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth dining experience that reflects our standards of professionalism and discretion.

You will warmly greet members, take orders, make recommendations, and handle the bill, while maintaining a pristine dining area and contributing to team events and tastings.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, quick—problem solving under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members, introduce menus, and ensure immediate engagement upon seating.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating any allergies or dietary needs.
• Deliver a seamless service by coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely and correct order delivery.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and drink pairings.
• Maintain exceptional table service—top up water, wine, and beverages proactively throughout the member’s stay.
• Ensure a pristine environment, including setting up and resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness at all times.
• Handle member requests and special accommodations with flexibility to create memorable, personalized experiences.
• Support seamless payment through card, the Soho House App, or House Pay.
• Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.
• Contribute to team success, attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues where needed.
