Highwoods Surgery in Colchester is seeking an experienced practice nurse to join our friendly, supportive team on a part-time basis, with Tuesday and Thursday commitments.

You will run a broad range of nursing clinics, manage QOF targets, and contribute to service development and clinical governance, in a collaborative GP-led environment.

Competenze

• A relevant nursing degree.
• Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
• Previous experience of working as a practice nurse is essential.
• Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation.
• Knowledge and experience of supporting long-term conditions.
• Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.

Mansioni

• Delivering a wide range of nursing clinics: chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension), immunisations (adult and children), travel health, cervical screening, wound care, and health promotion
• Managing QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework) targets and clinical audits
• Developing and reviewing practice nursing protocols and standard operating procedures
• Liaising with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team on complex patient care
• Supporting infection control, safeguarding, and clinical governance processes
• Contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives
• Involvement in health promotions and clinical meetings

Conoscenze

NMC registration with active PIN

Experience as a practice nurse

Clinical skills in treatment room
