Wychwood Surgery invites a Practice Nurse to join a friendly rural GP team near Chipping Norton. You will provide general practice nursing in the treatment room, including immunisations, wound care, and chronic disease management, contributing to high-quality patient care.

You will work within the nursing team, attend weekly meetings, and uphold professional standards and local protocols while developing skills in areas such as asthma/COPD care, diabetes management, and public vaccination

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Experience in immunisations and wound care desirable.
• Ability to work within GP practice clinical protocols.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to clinic requirements.

Responsabilités

• Meet patients' nursing care needs in the surgery, with occasional home visits.
• Manage chronic diseases, recall and screening using practice systems.
• Deliver services including asthma/COPD, diabetes, cervical smears, immunisations, phlebotomy, ECGs and wound care.
• Run flu and COVID clinics and keep vaccines up-to-date per PGD guidance.
• Maintain infection control standards and contribute to clinic protocols.
