Job summary

PortmanDentex, a leading private dental group in the UK, is seeking a Practice Manager. The role oversees daily operations, leads a care-focused team, and acts as Registered Manager for the practice. You will manage finances, KPIs, and budgets while driving service excellence.

The position is full-time (40 hours over five days) with an hourly rate starting at £18, in a fully private practice setting, supported by operations partners to help with growth and compliance.

• Healthcare/retail/hospitality background or leadership experience in dental nursing is a plus
• Passionate about delivering great service
• Able to lead and support colleagues to perform at their best
• Confident with financials (P&L, KPIs, budgets)

• Full-time hours available, 40 hours per week over 5 days with typical shifts of 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday

• Supportive and collaborative operations manager and business partners, assisting with overall practice growth and management

Please note that as part of your role, you’ll be the Registered Manager for this practice.

About You

• A healthcare, retail, hospitality, or similar service-focused background - experience managing a dental practice or strong leadership experience as a lead dental nurse is an added bonus, but not essential
• Passionate about delivering great service
• Leading and supporting colleagues to perform at their best
• Confident working with financials (P&L, KPIs, budgets)
• Focused on delivering operational excellence: from fully-functioning equipment and facilities, to a compliant, process-driven practice team
