Pharmacy Practice Manager Role

Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role is a hybrid of patient care and commercial focus, requiring a strong leader with a passion for healthcare, patients, and driving a profitable business. This role is responsible for delivering pharmacy targets and managing the store Pharmacist and pharmacy colleagues, supporting Asda Pharmacy's goal to be best in class.

Daily responsibilities include leading, coaching, and developing the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient experiences and ensure high standards of patient safety. You will support the professional development of all team members and locums to maintain compliance with GPhC standards and clinical governance.

You will receive support from in-store, regional, and home office teams for clinical or service-related queries.

Rota:

Week 1: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri/Sat 9am-9pm

Candidate Profile

We seek a dedicated Pharmacy Practice Manager committed to healthcare excellence. The ideal candidate will be experienced, aligned with our values, and passionate about making a difference in the community through primary care in our pharmacies.

Requirements:

• A fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC
• Accredited to deliver NHS and private healthcare services
• Capable of balancing line management and pharmacy responsibilities to ensure safety and compliance
• Motivational leader able to inspire results and achieve KRAs
• Experienced in handling challenging situations and maintaining strong store and field team connections

Applicants must possess a valid GPhC registration, proof of right to work in the UK, and relevant safeguarding qualifications. A DBS check and enrollment in the update service are also required. Successful candidates will need to provide documentation to verify qualifications and identity.
