Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Depot Powered Access Engineer in Leicester to inspect, service and repair MEWPs, ensuring safety and reliability. You’ll diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and perform PDIs and testing to standard.

You will install accessories, complete documentation, and coordinate with workshop and field teams, following HSE and PUWER guidelines. A full UK driving licence and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on MEWPs or similar mobile plant machinery.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Team-focused with good communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, servicing, repairing and refurbishing MEWPs.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carrying out scheduled maintenance and PDIs.
• Completing function testing and safety checks.
• Installing accessories, retrofit kits and safety devices.
• Completing job cards and inspection records accurately.
• Liaising with workshop management, parts departments and field engineers.

About the Role – Depot Powered Access Engineer

• Working in line with HSE, LOLER, PUWER and company safety procedures

What You’ll Need to Succeed as a Depot Powered Access Engineer
