Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Mobile Powered Access Engineer for a field-based role covering customer sites in the Grays area. You will service, maintain and repair a wide range of powered access equipment, conducting PDIs and LOLER inspections while ensuring top workmanship and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has IPAF/CAP licences, a relevant NVQ or equivalent, and a full UK driving licence. Excellent earning potential and clear career progression await.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills.
• IPAF and CAP licences are essential.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on powered access equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs at customer sites.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and LOLER inspections.
• Visit customer sites to service and repair equipment and ensure high workmanship standards.

About the Role – Mobile Powered Access Engineer

As a Mobile Powered Access Engineer, you will be field-based, responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of powered access equipment at customer sites.

Your duties will include:

• Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs of powered access equipment


• Ensuring hire equipment is fit for purpose and operating efficiently


• Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)


• Carrying out LOLER inspections


• Visiting customer sites to diagnose and repair breakdowns


• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service

What You’ll Need to Succeed as a Mobile Powered Access Engineer

• Previous experience within powered access, plant, material handling or HGV engineering


• Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills


• A passion for delivering excellent service


• Approachable with the ability to work as part of a team


• IPAF and CAP licences (essential)


• NVQ qualification or equivalent


• Full UK driving licence


• Previous experience as a Mobile Powered Access Engineer is beneficial
