Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Mobile Powered Access Engineer to maintain and service a fleet of powered access rental equipment across customer sites in the East region. The role involves inspections, servicing, repairs and liaising with the engineering team to maximise machine availability.

The ideal candidate has an engineering qualification (NVQ Level 2+), strong mechanical knowledge and IPAF certification. Expect a 45-hour week with overtime paid at 1.5x and attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification, ideally in plant maintenance, to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with previous experience on powered access equipment.
• Competent with electro/hydraulic systems and fault-finding/ Diagnostics.
• Valid IPAF Operator licence/certification.
• Strong communication and organisational skills for a busy mobile engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI), servicing, LOLER inspections, repairs and manufacturer updates on powered access equipment.
• Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair breakdowns, minimising equipment downtime.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs while maintaining high standards across the rental fleet.
• Accurately record inspections, repairs and maintenance using a company-issued PDA and follow all procedures.
• Work closely with the engineering team and hire office to manage workloads and maximise machine availability.
