Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is representing a rapidly growing national provider of powered access and plant equipment, seeking a Senior Powered Access Engineer to join the team.

You will oversee workshop operations, plan servicing and inspections, diagnose faults and lead a small team, with a Monday–Friday 45-hour week and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required.
• Experience in powered access, plant, forklifts or similar.
• CAP licence essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills.
• Previous team leadership/supervisory experience.
• LOLER and PDI experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop and engineer workloads.
• Plan servicing, repairs, PDI and LOLER inspections to maximise fleet availability.
• Carry out hands-on servicing, maintenance and fault-finding.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic and hydraulic faults.
• Lead, support and motivate a team of engineers.
• Work closely with the hire office to ensure equipment is ready for hire.
• Manage workloads and priorities within a busy hire environment.
