Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead sales of poultry processing systems across the region. You will be the main contact for customers, analyzing their needs and presenting Marel’s high‑end solutions. Travel to meet clients, exhibitions, and demos will be part of the role.

You will work closely with leadership, drive market plans, and support account managers with process knowledge to achieve targets. The role demands strong English skills and a global, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering is required.
• 3 years of outside B2B sales of technical/mechanical systems, ideally with an international company.
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office is expected.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills are essential.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Regional Sales Director, Account Managers, distribution partners, and regional sales operations.
• Help establish and implement a regional market plan.
• Drive sales of complex solutions and increase market share while meeting customer requirements.
• Support and train Account Managers with depth process knowledge.
• Realize sales targets in volume and margin; optimize price and share.
• Maintain opportunity registration and visit reports in the CRM; follow up.
• Gather intelligence on competitors and installed base.
• Meet KPI goals for sales and margins.
• Operate professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
