Job summary

Royal Mail in Salisbury is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating shift, including Sundays. You will operate a Royal Mail van and walk routes, with 32 hours per week across five days in seven.

You must have a Full UK driving licence (manual) and be fit to work outdoors, with reliability and a customer-focused approach. Training, a uniform, and benefits are provided.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 32:00hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 07:19/15:05*

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
