Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Dundee to sort and deliver letters and parcels. You’ll work outdoors, build customer relationships, and cover a 27.5 hour week across Monday to Sunday with a 10:00–16:00 shift.

The role includes full training, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van. A full UK driving licence is required; overtime may be paid. This fixed-term contract lasts 9 months with potential weekend work and a rotating schedule.

Salary: £13.68 per hour * (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 27:30 hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 10:00/16:00*

About You

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
