Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Dunfermline is advertising a fixed term Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) position. You will work a nightly 23:00 shift, four days per week, delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot in your local area, with overtime and weekend work as scheduled.

Full training, a uniform, and a trademark red van are provided. Requirements include a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points), physical fitness for long walks and lifts, and a reliable, self-motivated,

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) and willing to drive a Royal Mail van.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, stairs, hills and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and customer-focused with good organisation and resilience.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and follow a rotating shift schedule.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available. Working hours: 23:00 hours per week - working 4days across Monday - Sunday -10:00am/21:00pm*

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
